The Politics of Pop Culture: A Presentation on Narratives and Reparations

This is part of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement’s “Take the Reparations Challenge” - an event to raise reparations to the African community through the Uhuru Solidarity Movement. The presentation will offer analysis of American popular culture, politics present within these stories, and how they relate to our own lives. The presentation will be followed by a half-hour Q&A with members of the San Diego branch of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement. The Uhuru Solidarity Movement is an organization of white people created by and working directly under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party, which leads the Uhuru Movement and the quest for African self-determination.
